This modular urban growing device can retro-fit on any existing railing, wall, or parapet to grow plants without taking up floor space.  This system collects rain water and recycles it using only 1\10th the water normally used by soil systems.  This closed cycle irrigation system collects rain water and recycle it through the system for weeks.  Depending on the size of the water storage tank, the system can last without additional water from two weeks to as long as a month.  This enables the plants to wait out long droughts in the harsh summers of New York collecting and storing the initial surge of water when it does rain.
